I am so sorry for your loss- and I will put you and your husband in my thoughts. I attended a burial for my niece (who was an angel upon her arrival). The person who spoke gave the nicest description during the service to this day it makes me cry. She explained in a story about how family were gifted children, and that God always cautioned that the while roses (which were babies in the story) were only for special people. The people that received these children were people that opened their hearts regardless of the personal cost to them, the emotional burden, they loved unconditionally because that is what these children needed- and God hand selects these individual for all of their strength and compassion. So- amid the very sad situation of losing a child it helps us to remember not only how special our child was / is but how strong we are as well. Every time I feel sad about the loss of my brother, my niece, my own baby- I think about this story, and realize the moments we had as you said as a vessel, a care giver, and a parent will never be forgotten or unappreciated. You and your family sound very strong, and I am so thankful for you that you had a few moments with your son.
