OT: Night Video Monitor

I need a night time video monitor but don't want to spend an arm and a leg. I don't have a problem buying used off of ebay or craigslist....but just want to know that what I am buying is a good brand/model. I don't like static, don't care about color, but it has to have the night vision. A portable hand held would be nice, but not necessary. Any info would be appreciated! TIA. Shari

 I have a Summer Infant Day/Night video monitor (b&w) and I love it.  I have a 3 story home and it works really well on all 3 levels.  The only place in the house it doesn't work well (static) is in the basement right by my husband's computer.  Though I'm guessing thats more to do with his mountain of speakers and other electronics.
