Sage's 2 month update, long with lots of pics!

Well my baby girl turned two months on the 25th and 9 weeks on Sunday.  She had her two month check up today.  She is 11 lbs 8.5 ounces 22.5 inches long.  She is 50th percentile for both, her head is in the 90th percentile, the nurse actually measured it twice because she was shocked her head was so big LOL.  She got 2 shots today, was supposed to be 3 but they were out of the one, I forget which one.  They sat her on me while they were doing it and I cried of course.  She screamed for about a minute, gulped a bottle, pooped and passed out lol. What was actually worse than watching her get the shots was the rotavirus swallow medication.  It apparently tasted disgusting, because it took the nurse 5 minutes to get her a half a teaspoon.  She hatedddd it!  She kept gagging and coughing, it was terrible!

She is still on the apnea monitor at night with no episodes to date.  The hole in her heart is closing up, thank goodness!  The cardiologist said the hole went from the size of a pencil eraser, to the size of a pencil point.  We have another appointment in September, and hopefully it will be fully closed by then.  She is very smiley and very alert!

I took Sage in to the Dr. 2 weeks ago because she had a dry rash all over her face.  The new Dr. I saw that day said it was baby acne.  I never really thought it was because it seemed like a rash and not acne.  Well I brought it to the attention of my pediatrician and he said it's classic Seborrheic dermatitis, which is basically the same thing as cradle cap, but occurs on her face, behind the ears and back of the neck.  Also, what I thought was a bruise on her butt was actually a light Mongolian blue spot.  She is not of mixed race or Asian at all but he said babies with Mediterranean background get it too, and she is 3/4 Italian, so I guess that make sense.

Just an update on our living situation.  In case you missed the post, we moved in with my mom 9 months ago so we could save money, but my husband works 80 miles away and works 6 days a week.  I wanted to move but my mom was really upset we were thinking about moving.  In my heart I knew we needed to move so DH can be closer to work and spend more time with Sage.  Well we found a duplex 15 minutes from his work and we're moving in August 1st.  I told my mom last night we were approved for the duplex and she cried because she will miss us and especially the baby.  I feel bad, but I know we need to do this.  Plus I need my own space again.

So here are a few recent pics!!  enjoy!

She is so stinking cute!

The moving will be hard....but it makes sense.  It'll be good for daddy to have more time.  My biggest issue with going into the office is the 3 hours of travel time (1.5 each way) I lose with Cooper.... thank goodness I only have to go in a couple days a week!

Glad she's growing well and the heart is healing!

Thanks for sharing her with us mommies-of-boys who need a little girl fix!

She is SOO sweet! Sounds like she is doing really well. I can't imagin how hard the decision must have been to move, but it sounds like it's what you need to do. Good luck!

LOVE THE LAST PICTURE!!

Sage is a beauty! She looks very healthy and happy.

Sounds like the move is the right thing to do. Your husband will get more family time and that's important. Your mom will miss you and Sage, but she'll be okay. She raised her family, now it's time for you to raise yours.

Best wishes - be strong!!
