X-post Pregnancy After TT

Some of you may remember me, some of you may not, but I used to post around here all the time...after a few life changing events my time online has GREATLY decreased and thus cut into my posting here unfortunatly! Anyway... I have a few questions for the experts...or at least the experienced  I had my RNY a year ago in March followed by my TT in December. My husband and I have been considering going off birth control this fall and I want to know about some of the experiences you guys have had with pregnancy after TT...I don't want to totally ruin my awesome results and I don't ever want to go back to where I was before...but we don't feel like our family is complete. My surgeon assured me that having babies would be fine after my surgery but how would he know really? I can safely assume that HE has never personally carried a baby after TT. Also for thoes of you who have had C-sections after TT can they use the same scar? I had an anchor cut, and I've already had a baby by C-section but that was long before either of my other surgeries and they cut that scar off when I had my TT. I hope this isn't too confusing and I also plan to post it over in the Plastic Surgery section...but any responses would be appreciated!!

Thanks,
D

I had RNY Sept 04, TT March 06.

With my first pregnancy I did not look pregnant at all, I started losing my shape and flowing out to the sides I guess you could say. I didn't look cute or have a nice baby belly, just looked wide and fat. Besides I gained 70 pounds (which I dont recommend)!

With my second I didnt look pregnant until about 7 months, I guess the first one streched me a little more because I actually did look pregnant but still got wide for some reason. Again I gained 70 pounds. All in all its not too bad, a little streched but I use the Ab Circle Pro and my tummy is VERY tight especially when I lie down and tighten it got a nice 6 pack...ok well a 4 pack. Don't expect a miracle right away my youngest is almost a year and I was pretty jiggly in the tummy for 6+ months until I started the Ab workout. When they were first born I thought it was ruined for good but thats not the case so there is hope.

GOOD LUCK TTC!!

I have a nice, flat tummy and am about 6 weeks pregnant right now!

I am two years post op from an anchor tummy tuck and almost 6 years post op RNY. Are you still ttc? How's it going?

I don't have any input on c-sections for you though! Good luck to you!

I've been here since 2002, I just like to pretend I am NEW!
