OT: Extreme Nesting

OK ladies,

I guess what this week and weekend have/had held could be called extreme nesting..... lol.  I have taken a two story, bedroom and gone through everything and seperated into yard sale and what is going to the much, much smaller apartment.

We are having the yard sale at my sister's because we thought here neighborhood was more in a central location, but I have no idea how we are going to get all of this stuff....furniture, some old collectbles, kitchenware, clothes, etc, etc, .......in her small yard.  We took two car loads and two trailer loads of stuff to her house.  Anyone that lives in WV close to Briddgeport, please come by.

Now, as I sit here and look at this empty house, I'm a little sad.  I am doing this move because it is best for my daughter and I, but it is truly sad.  Once this house is gone, I have truly lost all material things because of my RNY.  I had the surgery to ensure I would have a better life, but ever since the surgery, I have been so sick with complications, I haven't even been able to enjoy the weight loss or life.

I am so thankful for my upcoming baby and I truly believe that this move next week, and the purging of so many material things in my life, is the best thing for us to have a brad new beginning.  I can't wait to get moved in and get the nursery set up for my little one.  I also can't wait for her to be here.........even though watching other people walk away with stuff today will make me really sad.

Thanks for listening......you guys are truly some of the best people in the world!!

Sandy look at this as the beginning of a new chapter not the end of an old one. This move is going to be great for you and your daughter! It's going to be fun setting up house and getting things ready. And just think of how much less there will be to clean at the new place! lol I love yard sales - it always makes me feel good to see things go to a home that will get to use and enjoy them when I know that they were just sitting idle in my house.

Good luck with everything!

Good luck with everything! Sometimes a fresh start, a new place to start your brand new memories is just what we need. Your little girl is going to make you so happy, nothing in the world will be more important than her. You can do this. Stay strong hun!

Super proud mommy to Dylan, Owen and Sophia Brianne!

Sandy,
Having complications from RNY is so tough- I understand your frustrations about wanting to enjoy a new and better life, but reality was not quite as expected. However, I try to think about what life would have been like at your heaviest- you would probably have gotten heavier, and had more complications because of that. Maybe it doesn't cheer you up, because now you're thinking, "I was doomed to suffer no matter what!" but at least it may help you through some of the complicaitons you have now. And plus, would a baby have been possible before? Perhaps she will be the whole reason and make your suffering worth it in the long run. Best of luck with the move. And material things are just that- in the end, the old saying is true- you can't take it with you. What you can take with you though is your family and friends, so they matter much more than where you live or what you do for a living. Good luck with the yard sale!

Thanks ladies!!

After the yard sale yesterday and seeing all the things go, it was very cleansing for me.  I made enough to cover moving costs and a couple of people are intersted in coming to look at the furniture I have..........that will be money for the baby!

I am truly getting excited about the move........and this new chapter.  Maybe, just maybe this chapter will be a better chapter than the last.

My baby deserves the best, and I intend to make sure she has it!

Thanks for the support!!  You guys are truly special!!

Just want to add, if you have anything left over that you want to get a decent pocket of change for...try Craigslist (always add photos). When my husband moved in together, we sold most of his stuff on CL (bachelor pad type stuff) and got pretty good $$ for most of it. Especially furniture. And baby/kid stuff. I had a buch of stuff left over from my daycare that people were showing up in droves for. Keep that in mind when you start accumilating outgrown baby-gear... if you are not having any more kids, of course.
