vitamin and morning sickness question
I am almost 7 weeks pregnant. I have 2 questions:
1) when and how often should we get bloodwork done on our vitamin levels (I had an RNY 13 months ago)? My doctor doesn't even want to see me until I am 11 weeks...but I am worried about going that long without my blood levels checked. Any advice?
2) I am having morning sickness pretty much 24/7. I am MISERABLE...dizzy, waves of nausea, overall feeling yucky and tired. Is this normal? My first pregnancy was not like this. If the level of morning sickness correlates to the health of the baby (as my sister-in-law claims) then this baby is mega healthy! Any tips? I have already upped all my vitamin Bs...with no relief.
Thanks for the tips/advice!

I was 16m post op when I got pregnant the 1st time. I had labs run just once about 1/2 way through my pregnancy. What are you doing for vitamins? I did 2 prenatals (One source brand), 1 super b complex, 1 sublingual b12 & 2-3 calcium citrates daily during both of my pregnancies and both babies were completely healthy and term at 39w. My 2nd baby I got pregnant at 3.5y post op and again I only had labs run once about 1/2 way through.
As for the nausea...no help there. Maybe try some ginger pops that are at BRU or Motherhood. I'm not sure of the sugar content though. If it's related to the vitamins maybe try taking the vitamins right before you go to bed? GL & congrats on your pregnancy!
