A few vents.

Ok, I had my OB appt back on the 18th. Hubby got to hear the heartbeat on his b-day and was thrilled. The OB said I had to do the GTT and that there was no other option. I told him I was told by my surgeon that there is no way I am to take the drink. He told me to eat 19 of the big jelly beans. Yeah, Not gonna be able to eat all those. Don't feel comfy eating all of them either.  Called back on Monday and told them that. Had to fight not to do the GTT. So I get to do a fasting blood sugar (UGH I still eat a cracker before I get out of bed and get sick if I don't eat.) and A1C.

Hubby is not gonna live to see this kid. Why? Imma kill him. I have the wonderful Carpel tunnel that is caused by being pregnant. He is begging for sex, a hand job or a ******* Yeah, not gonna happen. The carpel tunnel is killing me (and I work where I have repetitive movements.), I also have TM, and sex doesn't feel good. I think it was Tami that nailed the problem for me since she said she has the same problem. Too swollen to feel good. Hubby loves it tho. @$$.

My MIL is planning a shower for me but isn't say a word about when it is. I am hoping that I wont be able to go since she aint saying a word.

After my MIL (a self-proclaimed "hostess with the mostest") royally F'd up 2 major parties for us, I made hubby swear not to ever let her plan any baby showers or subsequent parties for any of our offspring in the future.  In fact, the farther she is from us with her weird ettiquette and childish ideas, the better. Hopefully you have some sort of input on your baby shower she throws, if it is to be your only one. Best wishes to you.

LOL it's all good. I know most would laugh here since y'all would understand it. 

I will have no input on it and now the hubby is trying to get my friend, who is throwing the one I am looking foward to, to work with his mom and have one. All of the showers on the hubby's side of the family is snooty.

Good for you for standing your ground on the GD test. I had the post parndial test.

As for sex, blow/hand job....I am with you well *******s i would gag and he didnt really want a hand job and for sex i was on pelvic rest to start then after I was released I was to scared to have sex. I won't have sex during the 2nd trimester or 3rd until 37wks.

Most the time he was very understanding. Just try to help him understand maybe tell him how/what you are feeling.

Is she doing a suprise shower? Are you having a different shower?

I so have tried to tell him but he has selective hearing and doesn't listen to me.

Yeah, the MIL is doing a surprise shower. UGH! I don't want that cause I know it wont be at a good time for me.

I cant believe your dr is being such a jerk about the GTT.  Mine was actually very understanding, and said we would just pay extra attention and if i had any weird "symptoms" to notify him asap. 

As for the intimacy issues...GIRL!!  I didnt feel like doing ANYTHING for WEEKS... my honey said he was MORE than frustrated, but after having a talk with him and explaining to him how every feeling i had affected my mood....(being swollen, feeling baby move in weird places, boobs leaking...etc) he was more than understanding...

Im 37 weeks tomorrow and for the last week I have been crazy on him...he actually has a hard time keeping up...lol So tell your husband not to worry, you will bounce back, just have some patience....It will be worth it.

I am glad they listend to you on the GTT! Way to stand up for your own health on that one! Hopefully you will pass the fasting with flying colors and won't have to hear another word about it!

LOL And it happens on a weekly basis when we are not together. It was on a daily basis when we saw each other all the time.

They wanted my surgeon's name and number so I call and left a message with them and told them the situation then passed on the number.
