My first OB appt!!

Well I had a great visit!!  The OB doctor was wonderful!! We felt very comfortable with her and will be using her as our OB doctor!!  Highlights of the appt:

1. Got a faint positive on urine test, kinda freaked me out, I thought it shouldn't be faint.  But it wasn't my first urine and I am urinating more frequently.  I was reassured by ultrasound.

2. Did a ultrasound, there is definitely a baby their.  It is the size of a sweet pea, LOL.  Couldn't make any features out yet as it is too early.  I go back in 2 weeks to repeat ultrasound and see how baby looks then.  I am between 5-6 weeks!

3. Did pap smear, no blood seen, PTL!!

4, Found out I am considered kind of high risk, due to gastric bypass.  All this means, is she will monitor me more and the baby to make sure it  is growing and there are no malabsorption issues! 

5. Got a cute bag and lots of info and prenatal vitamen samples to try.  She was fine with my current vitamen regimen. 

6.  Overall, it was a great appt, and she took the time to get to know us and hopes through this we can become friends!!

Yay for good appts the first one is always like info overload! Awesome for the u/s its always reassuring to know everything is okay in there! :)
