 Hi!

So, I plan to call my surgeon tomorrow morning (I found out for sure tonight around 7:30, so his office was closed) but I just found out I'm pregnant. I'll be ten months out from surgery July 2 and am down almost 130 pounds.  I'm still in the 240's, but am really active and my vitamin levels have been great.

So have others been here? Any tips? Suggestions? Insight is much appreciated.

Oh, and I'm super excited. I have faith that, though we weren't trying to get pregnant (we took a no-condom risk and weren't sure if I was fertile... and then realized after the fact that it was my peak fertility time!), God the father knits together every baby that is in its mother's womb, and this is his timing and not an accident. It's our first, and makes no sense, but it's still pretty exciting!

Congrats!!  It was a total blessing for me.  I got pregnant 9 months out from surgery, I have had no major issues until recently....which this isnt major, but my lil girl wants out early!!  LOL I had some concerns with preterm labor, but no big deals so far....(there are meds for that)

Best advice, find a good OBGYN, relax, and just dont sweat the small stuff....

I have gained a total of 13 lbs so far, and that hasnt happened until recently because its all fluid and baby.  I have ate basically anything I have craved...(dont skip out on carbs....this can cause ketosis) Just remember your portion control, and enjoy being pregnant...ITS A BLESSING!!

Congrats again and good luck!!

First of all Congrats!

You really need to talk to your doctor and probably what they will do is send you to a nutritionist/dietician so that they can make sure you are properly feeding yourself AND the baby.  I'm not going to lie and say it will be easy, but it CAN be done.  Just make sure to talk to your doc asap.  That is the biggest thing.

Congratulations, I am only almost 6 months out and I am pregnant too. My OB was not concerned about the pregnancy because of my gastric. Enjoy your pregnancy.
