My BP was down today (138/78). Still not wonderful but better than 170's/80's t hat it was Monday & Yesterday. So, they said stay on meds and I will go back at my normal appointment on July 5th. The medicine is still making me feel like poo and I still have a screamer of a headache.

Just wanted to update those who have been following or wanted an update :)

Seems like there's always bad with the good, huh? Glad to hear your BP came down. Sorry to hear the medicine makes you feel bad.

Glad that the BP is down, but keep an eye on the headache.  Also keep on the lookout for visual disturbances, like seeing stars or 'floaters' in your peripheral vision.

You'd have to check if it was OK while pg...but my husband, who has high bp and is on meds for it, also drinks tea tha the gets in Egypt - though it's available in the U.S...I can look around & find it for you if you can't find it (if it's OK to take).  It's hisbiscus flowers tea.  When you boil it up, it comes out a dark red/burgandy color and you add sugar to it as needed.  It actually tastes good.  I like it hot or cold.  When his bp is very high (usually after talking to his family), he drinks one large cup a day for a few days and it seems to help him.  He usually waits to take it until he has the headache and everything else from the bp.

I'm glad yours is coming down...hopefully it stays that way so you don't have to do the bedrest thing.

ETA:  Never mind...I just went and googled it and it says not to drink it during pregnancy because it can stimulate the uterus...but if you continue having problems after the big day...you could try it then...

Traci,
sorry to hear about your BP being high and having a huge headache!

No fun!  I am so totally miserable it's not funny.  I am in pain a lot.  This pregnancy has been by far my worst one ever.  Thank goodness I am done after this!

I can't wait until July 5th.  Having a C section...of course I also wouldn't complain if Colton decided to try and come early!  LOL

I hope you get to feeling better and your BP stays down!
