Hi there!  I'm not super new here.....I used to be on all the time after my rny which was in Nov of 05 .  Now I'm on my second pregnancy post bypass.  I had one before my surgery too but I was a lot thinner back then.  I'm mom to a 12yo girl and a 2 1/2yo girl and now hoping for a boy but will be happy either way.  My starting weight before surgery was around 350 and I was down to about 240 when I got preg with my youngest.  Since having her and getting married I lost more weight down to about 180 and was in a size 12 whoo hoo!  Now I'm preg again and about 16 weeks right now.  I'm up a good 10 lbs I think but not quite into maternity clothes yet but I will be soon.  My biggest fear with this preg is gaining too much weight, I feel like I'm always hungry now that most of my morning sickness is gone.
Well just thought I would post and say hi!

Congrats, Just a question for you is it true that our chance of getting pregnant after gastric bypass surgery a lot easier. I take prenatal vitamins daily and a pregnancy test showed this morning a very faint line. First time have intercourse since my surgery a few years ago...

Yes, for most it is easier to getting pregnant after surgery. In my case my husband was only home 2 weeks from deployment and I got pregnant. Before the surgery we were trying and nothing was happening plus I was diagnosed with PCOS. I hope this answers your question.

RNY on 08/16/05 with
Well, welcome back!! We are in about the same place as far when we had our RNY (mine was Aug. 2005).

This is my first pregnancy (and last). I'm in my 20th week. I've gained about 10-12 pounds so far. I'm getting scared. It's hard to look down and see this huge belly. Especially since I had left over flab from losing weight. It's just not the pretty baby bump many women have. I think we all have the same fears. Can't worry about that now. Got to take care of the little one inside!

Best wishes.
Kina
