I am getting annoyed. I cannot find nursing bras in 36/38 DDD and the ones I found on Amazon are over $40 each. Anyone had luck finding them in stores, where I might be able to try them on?

Motherhood Maternity has larger sized bras.  I found they run a little smaller than my other bras.  I have switched to just using my Lane Bryant bras.  A little bit of a pain for maneuvering, but so much more comfortable.  I am the same bra size as you and I found the nursing bras were causing me backaches.

On their website, Motherhood only shows up to DD in 38 and 36 :(

I might have to go to Lane Bryant. I have a friend who just uses tank tops but with boobs this size, that would get so uncomfortable so soon.

I found mine on EBay, brand-new. I also have a large sized chest (42H!!!) and didn't want to spend moer than $30 on a bra. I think I paid under $25 for the one I got, and it's pretty comfortable.

It is hard. Motherhood and Target both don't carry much in store. When i got fitted a couple weeks after Rowan was born, I went to a specialty bra shop and found out I was a 36F (although I could get away with a 38E). The only place I actually found stuff in store was at Dillards, some of them have a "Pea in the Pod" maternity outlet it them and they seemed to have good bras that actually SHAPE you and look like regular bras (a lot of the maternity ones I found elsewhere had so much coverage they eliminated half my wardrobe). For the most part though, I ended up searching online for a store that seemed to have quite a few in my size and odering a whole bunch to try on and then sending back the ones that didn't work. They won't be cheap though, the good ones are usually $40+.

i bought a bravado tank top bra... it has a ton of support and i love it. they come in all sizes... they are on the pricey side being about $45 but they are well worth it. i know i will be living in these for a long time. if you can go try one on at specialty store that would be best that way you don't have to buy it online and risk it not fitting and having to exchange it etc. but i do swear by it. my boobs are pretty saggy and i have always worn underwire before so finding a nursing bra was a chore and a hassle and i am sooooo happy i found these tanks!

I had to go with Lane Bryant Bra's.  I was a 42H after my son was born and although i did find a medela nursing bra in my size it gave no support and hurt my back and shoulders.  I LOVED the Lane Bryant Balconette Bra.  It was more of a hassle but it was a lot more comfortable.  FYI, they are buy 2 get 2 free right now on their website, so it's a great time to order.
