Just found out....BFP!
This news comes with mix feelings, as I'm excited and scared considering I'm only about 7 months out. Don't know what to expect, but have questions and concerns. I took like 9 First Response Early Results tests between yesterday and today and ALL POSITIVE! I've scheduled my appointment to see my WLS Surgeon and OB, so I want to make sure I'm doing everything I can to ensure a healthy pregnancy. My first child Tyler took 4 years of trying and this one just happens.
Anyone else get pregnant this early out? Were there any special instructions due to not being 12-18 months post surgery.

I'm 8 months post op and 6 weeks pregnant with #3 (first pregnancy was twin girls, now 15 months old).
This pregnancy was a HUGE surprise since I've had a Mirena IUD in place since my twins were 6 weeks old. Despite that, this little baby bean had other plans.
Since my surgery doesn't have a malabsorption aspect, there aren't any special requirements other than taking prenatals and DHA supplements and trying to consume 300-500 extra calories a day (hard to do with this morning sickness).
Goodluck! I hope you have a healthy and uneventful pregnancy!

Thanks Georgina for that F.Y.I. on the ketosis. Do you know if the calcium I take in Viactiv , which is 1000 mg is suffcient? I take the Bariatric Advantage Complete Multi Formula viatmins and they appear to have all the nutrients that Stuart Prenatals have. Actually they have more, but the folic acid is not sufficient so I'll have to get more of that. How much Folic Acid should I make sure I'm getting?

To be honest, Gina, I'm not exactly sure what the amounts for RNYers should be. I know that as a DSer I have to take at least 1500 of calcium citrate and I take two prenatals a day PLUS a multi, but that might be overkill for you. I take double or triple the recommended amount of folic acid to compensate for my DS malabsorption.
