Update on Stajah hernia
Well first thanks for all the comments on my last post, it helps to hear that other ones have had surgery so young. It only minutes for him to tell me her hernia had to be repaired. From his comments basically little girls it won't heal on it's own and there can be serious problems if it pops and doesn't go back in. We have our appointment with the children's hospital on July 1st and anticipate surgery the following week. I am nervous and scared, but I know this is what is best for her.
I hope everyone has a blessed day...I will keep you updated. Thanks for reading-Stacey

Hey Stacey, I just wanted to share my hernia story with you. When my son was discharged from the NICU, I noticed that he had a significant inguinal hernia. We saw his pediatrician the following day. She actually felt bilateral inguinal hernias (on both sides). We saw a pediatric urologist that same day & he had surgery the next day. He was 6 wks old, but only weighed a little over 5 lbs. He did great ! We stayed over night because of his size & prematurity. Now, he is 3 & you can't even see his scars unless you know exactly where they are. Babies are so much stronger than they look & heal so quickly. I won't tell you not to worry because, being a Mom, I know that's not possible, but I will definitely say a prayer that Stajah will come through without a hitch & send lots of positive thoughts your way : ) Oh, BTW, my twins both had umbilical hernias. The doctors kept saying they would go in on their own & couldn't believe it, but they really did...
