Its been almost 9 years since I had to worry about this, and I honestly cant remember!

What is the time they recomend you wait to drive after a vag birth? C section?

Thanks!

I think I waited 3 days. 2 cuz I was in hospital for that long and the third was because I wanted to stay at home lol
I didnt realize there was a waiting time for vag birth
I guess it depends on the individual

I had a vaginal delivery and was told I could drive as soon as I was comfortable. It was about a week for me, I had an episiotmy and a few stitches. Honestly I didn't want to go anywhere for a good 2 weeks.

I dont to go anywhere the first month lol. But my 9 year old will kill me if he has to miss a day of summer camp lol. My hubby works a 2nd job 3 mornings a week, so I will need to take him. Just trying to figure out how long I would need to have someone else take him. I'll plan on a week for vag and2 for section. When I had my ovary removed the wouldnt let me drive for 6 weeks after, so I was hoping it wasnt as drastic. Looks like I dont have to worry too much :)

I think I drove on the fourth day after my vag delivery- I did feel a little slow as far as reflexes- I wasn't taking anything stronger than ibuprofen, and hadn't since the delivery, so the meds weren't a concern. I could drive, but I was a little slow.

I was told atleast 4 weeks with my c-section. Ended up being 6 since my  incision split back open. My ob said that there's too much twisting of your torso (looking over your shoulder I guess) and that it could cause the incision to rip open on the inside. I was a good girl and behaved.

Good luck,
Victoria

They didn't tell me a specific amount of time, they just said I'd need to be able to slam on the brakes without hesitation due to pain or stiffness.  I had a c-section and drove at about 4 weeks postpartum without problems.

They told me 6 weeks with a c-section. I don't remember how long I waited, probably 2 or 3 weeks with no problems.
