FRIDAY TTC POST (I am back...)
Shari- glad to hear that you are doing much better and it's nice to see you back!
Currently I am on CD10. I plan on testing tomorrow morning just for fun.
Really haven't had any signs of pregnancy. Although something really strange happened to me lastnight, I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with this, but I needed to ask you ladies-
Before I had gastric bypass I had horrible acid reflux. Right as I was falling asleep I'd all of a sudden start caughing and choking.
Well since surgery that has happened twice now. Lastnight was worse than the other time though. I had just fallen asleep and I woke up coughing and choking so I ran to the bathroom because I thought I was going to throw up. I was gasping for air. This probably went on for a few minutes. It was horrible I was scared to death. I didn't have the acidic taste like I had from before surgery. There was a little fluid type substance that kept coming up that had kept me coughing and choking. It was horrible. Have any of you experienced this?

I haven't had it post-WLS...but it happened a few times pre-WLS....usually after having fish for dinner. I would burp up the stomach acid then breath it into my lungs. It burns like hell, you can't breath or get enough breath in even to cough...but you try to cough anyways. It takes forever for it to go away too. Antacid won't make it go away since you swallow them and they go to the stomach and the problem is in the lungs. Maybe an antacid would help prevent it though.
Good luck on your TTC test. : )

Holly, that's the thing though, it did happen to be before WLS too. But this was totally different. The acidic taste/feeling in my throat was not there as it was post WLS. There was a tiny bit of fluid, maybe just saliva that came up, but didn't burn coming up or going down when I'd try swallowing really hard. Man was that scary. Hasn't happened again since though....
I also am in the 2ww period and I am hoping this time next week I have an answer! This has been the longest week of my life! Haha. I experienced really bad cramping 2-3dpo and since then I haven't had any other symptoms. Going to take the first pregnancy test next weekend. This Friday 6/25 is my TWO YEAR SURGIVERSARY, so what a wonderful gift that would be! I am trying not to get my hopes up but it's so hard not to.
Baby dust to all of you! <3

Hi girls. I am really sorry I didn't post the last 2 weeks, and thanks to Amy K for stepping in. Some of you know that I was having some issues with anxiety for several reasons right before Micah was born and I started a low dose of paxil once he was here. At 6 months I decided that I was fine and weaned myself off the med. For a few weeks I was okay, but then had a nasty downward spiral and the anxiety and ppd were pretty bad. Needless to say I am back on the med and doing much better...but considering seeing a counselor for the cause of the anxiety. Anyway, I am back to posting. I care a lot about you guys but sometimes life has to take the front seat for a bit...hope you understand.
I replied to a few of you last week. Welcome to Eleni (pretty name) and hope your bfp comes swiftly!! Any one else that needs added or changes please let me know. I hope I missed some bfp's too!!

Sorry to hear about your anxiety issues. I too, experience anxiety and panic attacks frequently. I was on a low dose of Xanax for years and I've used it on an as-needed basis for about the past 3 years or so. Since we started TTC this month, I have completely gone off of the medication and now it's a test of my strength to see if I can do my breathing techniques to get through any attacks I may get.
It's difficult to deal with this, so I totally feel your pain. Good luck with your counseling. If you need to chit chat, please do not hesitate to send me a message! <3
