FRIDAY TTC POST (I am back...)

Hi girls. I am really sorry I didn't post the last 2 weeks, and thanks to Amy K for stepping in. Some of you know that I was having some issues with anxiety for several reasons right before Micah was born and I started a low dose of paxil once he was here. At 6 months I decided that I was fine and weaned myself off the med. For a few weeks I was okay, but then had a nasty downward spiral and the anxiety and ppd were pretty bad. Needless to say I am back on the med and doing much better...but considering seeing a counselor for the cause of the anxiety.

Anyway, I am back to posting. I care a lot about you guys but sometimes life has to take the front seat for a bit...hope you understand.

Some common terms:

TTC - trying to conceive
BFP - big fat positive (positive pregnancy test)
BFN - big fat negative (negative pregnancy test)
CD - the day of your menstrual cycle
O - ovulation
DPO - days past ovulation
LP - luteal phase (time from ovulation to period)
AF - aunt flow ( your period)
PG - pregnant/pregnancy
MC - misscarriage
RE - reproductive endocrinologist
OPK - ovulation prediction kit
CL - coverline ( for those taking their temps to confirm ovulation)
Met - metformin or glucophage ( a diabetes medication sometimes taken to help hormone levels and ovulation)
BD - baby dancing ( having timed intercourse)
DTD - doing the deed
IUI - inter uterine insemination
IVF - in vitro fertilization
PCOS - polycystic ovarian syndrome
POAS - pee on a stick (taking a pregnancy test)
2WW - two week wait...time from ovulation until you can test for pg

I'm so glad you are feeling better, Shari!  That's a relief!

You can remove me from the list... I got my BFP on 6/4.  I had my first prenatal appt yesterday and so far, so good!   I'm due on February 5th.  Thanks!!!

I'm new to this forum. I had RNY January 14th, 2009 (so I'm about a year and a half out from surgery). I've lost 155 pounds and have about 40-50 more to lose for my own personal goal of weighing 125 pounds. I have a six year old little girl and hubby and I have just started TTC. We would like at least one more child, possibly 2. Anyway, I would love to be a part of this forum and would love to be added to the TTC list. I've been lurking on here for awhile and have enjoyed reading everyone's experiences. Thanks.

  Had an HSG done last Friday, so hopefully between that and the polyp removal I am all cleaned out.  Hopefully we will be able to resume trying again soon.

little to report here....started clomid yesterday.  Pray, pray, pray it works!!!   Congratulations to Penny!
