Just Venting

So i am venting here... don't mind me.

I am 37 weeks pregnant. I just assumed that everytime i was going to my doctor he was checking my urine for possible UTI's. Well i was told that they don't check everytime and that they are checking other things like protein etc. which doesn't make sense to me because i think it's just a dip stick (no pun intended) that measures for these things.

Well i had a weird feeling that i may have a UTI so i called and asked if i could drop some urine off and be tested. Since i work at a hospital they faxed over orders etc. Well i got my results today and i have "abnormal" amounts of protein in my urine, trace of ketones, many crystals (calcium oxalate) and mucus.

I am waiting to hear back from my doctor (i faxed over my own resutls) to see if this is okay?

I guess it's just hormones and felt the need to vent. Thanks for listening. I also have had other problems like spotting etc throughout this pregnancy that have gone unexplained and still a mystery. All i can do is have faith that everything will be okay.

Vent away! Doctors can be so frustrating can't they? I know when they tested me for a UTI it wasn't just a dip stick. They had to send it off to a lab.

I hope all is OK. Only a couple more weeks!
