I am trying not to worry. If language problems didn't run in the family I wouldn't worry.... I just want him to say/use one word so I know the connection between brain and mouth works. I know he's smart!

I'm in no hurry for him to walk!

I cannot believe he is already one! It seems like yesterday you had just brought him home. I wish I could just stop time for a couple years and enjoy Anberlin just how she is now! I wouldn't mind that one bit.

I've told Cooper every month that I want him to stop growing (it hasn't worked!) and each month he's cuter and cuter..... so enjoy Anberlin now because you can't stop time!

I can't believe Cooper is a year old! He is so freaking cute, love the cake smash pictures! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG BOY!

On another note, have you thought about calling your local Early Intervention for the speech thing, in most areas they will come to your house for a free evaluation. We had EI in our home for almost three years and I was so thankful for all they did for me and my kids, I really believe that their services where life changing for my kids. At best they tell you that he is completely normal and does not qualify (and then you mind will be at ease), at worst they tell you how to get him help with any delays that he may show and in most places their sevices are free.

I had talked with another local mom about EI and decided if my doctor still pushes me off at 12 months I am going to call.

Like you said, what can it hurt??

I appreciate hearing that EI worked for you and your kids.... I would love to have some guidance even on ways I an help him move forward with his speach.
