I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for something I could give my husband for Father's Day. I have a card for him, but have had trouble thinking of something that a) would be related to the fact that he will be a father b) isn't just a present for the baby that I'm giving him instead.

Try searching Amazon.com for parenting books, Father's and little girls. There are quite a few and are really sweet.

My hubby is getting a card from the baby. In it will be a note from the baby that he wants Daddy to see him again. I bought a 3D/4D ultrasound package. We went at 28 weeks and we will go back at 34 and he doesn't know about the 34 week part.

I am also going to buy his diaper bag (he wouldn't touch the one I have with a 10 foot pole) and fill it with snacks and things for him for the hospital.

We are first time parents and I bought my husband the "My Daddy's Hand" poem in a keepsake frame.  He is a very sensitive and caring man (a social worker for profession) and I just KNOW this is going to tug his heart strings and probably produce a tear or two. He gets teary at our ultrasounds just like me. I almost bawled just reading this poem.

I actually posted the "Dad-To-Be Survival Kit"!! Mine is almost done, I took a mens shoe box and covered it on the outside with scrapbook paper (to make it girly) and then painted the inside pink using tempra paint.  (Ill post pics in a bit)

Inside it will include a hand made curious george blankie (DH LOVES curious george...you should see our nursery) some crossword and word search books, ear plugs for my screaming (lol), a bandaid incase i break his skin (another joke), a "5 hr energy drink" (for those long labor hours) some "its a girl bubble gum cigars" (hes supposed to be quiting smoking) a custom made tshirt that says "I survived labor and deliver and ITS A GIRL" (iron on decal was found on ebay for $3), a #1 dad hat (found this at old navy for $5) and vairous other items...snacks, slippers, pj pants...etc.

Hope this idea is as cute to yall as it was to me, someone posted it on my WTE.com board...like i said, gimmie a few hours and ill post pics!!

We had friends watch our little guy the Friday before Mother's day. They bought a card and put a pen in Ryan's hand. He's was just 2 months old, but the card with a couple of scribbles was so incredibly sweet. It will be a lifetime keeper! I am going to do the same for Father's day.

Paint a D on your belly and take a picture or have a photographer take a picture.  Then wipe it off and paint an A on your belly and take a picture.  Wipe it off and paint another D in a different color or something.  Then get a frame with three openings and put the photos in there spelling DAD.  Walla!

I bought my hubby a mug with a picture of the ultrasound picture on it. I am not sure if it's too late to order something like that online, but i think walkgreens does that as well. I uploaded a picture of our 3D ultrasound pics and made a mug that says Happy Father's Day from your boys! (I also had a picture of my other son on it.)

Good luck!
