My trip to the ER

I ended up going to the ER today, I was at church when I noticed a little spotting. Well we left early, and spend a lot of the afternoon in the ER. The doctor ordered up a betta test and my numbers were in the 2000's (nothing to compare it too yet, but big numbers seem like a great thing so far as I know!). She also ordered up an Ultrasound which I knew we would not see much, but I did have to have the trans vaginal Ultrasound done. Once that was done, I did get to see a little tiny bean in there. So the baby looked great for as little as they could see
The internal probe caused a little irritation bleeding also, and I had to have an exam to make sure my cervix is closed, which she said it was! She said that the blood that she saw was "old blood" not sure what that is all about. So all the test concluded that I was indeed pregnant, and there is no way to know where the blood is coming from. So I got to leave knowing the same thing I went in knowing! In all I am going to take it easy and just rest till my OB appointment. Hoping and praying that it is just implant bleeding like the DR. said it may be.

I had bled on several different occasions during my first trimester and each time it freaked me out, but everything is ok and they really don't know what caused my spottings. I hope that everything is fine with the baby and it's just one of those things they can't explain.

I also have spotted on and off throughout my pregnancy as well. They don't know why... at first they suspected something wrong with the placenta but all my ultrasounds always look perfect so they don't know why. It's very light spotting only when i go to the bathroom and look at the tissue. One time it was more then usual (I was 34 weeks) so they hooked me up to the monitor and had another ultrasound and everything was normal. My doctor told me it might be a  yeast infection and prescribed me some cream. It's still a mystery...

Thanks! it is reassuring to know that and that you both seem to be really close to your little ones being here! I was also told that bleeding is very normal in the first trimester, so the strangest part is, I never had it with my other two, so I was really freaked out. I do have to follow up with my OB this week, so I am hoping I get a clean bill of health then too!

Cangrats on your LO. We are due on the same day .

I too have had bleeding and spotting with this LO even lost a big clot (sorry for TMI) . I have been having my betas done and I'm getting my first u/s in a few days at 6weeks. I got told for some reason it happens and to have plenty of bedrest. I'm finding that abit hard as I have 3 others running around.
I hope it all settles down for you and everything is smooth sailing from here.

CONGRATS! I hope all goes well I also had spotting my first trimester. Not much but just enough to worry. LOL.
