Boy do I understand how expensive it is! I spent $11k last year on four IUI's and the medication was $1,600 everytime! I am so glad your hubby's insurance has coverage in it for IVF!

I am sending you tons of luck and support!!

WOO HOO!!!  What great news!!  I'm so excited for you!  It's crazy how insurance is something that can make or break our dreams.  I'm so happy the policy changed, and hope you're able to get the meds you need to maximize your benefit.  My fingers will be crossed for you!

I wish you all the luck in the world Ann.  You've been wonderfully informative on this end.  The truth is the truth.  I'd rather have fact than bull**** .

Have you tried to ask for assistance directly from the above mentioned drugs pharmaceutical companies?  I know nothing about the infertility drug world, but I know for certain that I have helped people get  assistance (free medicine) after writing a letter or calling a pharmaceutical company.  This was for diabetes, kidney, cancer, heart, and transplant medications.

Best,
Leila

Ann,

I am very glad that your HR dept extended your coverage.  That is something that they definitely should have informed you about.  Shoot, if they stop covering a certain dosage of a particular drug on my policy, or if they up your co-pay by $1 my company sends you a letter.

I hope it all works out for you.  I don't even know where to start to look for reproductive drugs... I know my one friend was on metaformin (sp?) not sure if that would help... but she is pregnant right now.. so I doubt she still needs them.

Hugs
B
