Pregnancy sickness

Hi

I know that I'm not the far out with being pregnant. I have had 4 pregnancies this is my 5th, 3 live births before my op and my sickness was bad, really bad. I needed meds and was even put in hospital with all of them a few times with each.
This time I'm not really feeling that sick. I was wondering for the mums that have had children before and after WLS

Did you feel sick the same or less after your op?

More just wanting to know. Every pregnancy is different but it has me thinking.

Many thanks
Crystal

This is my only pregnancy after RNY (had triplets and a single before surgery) and this was just about the same morning sickness wise.  Only different is my appetite was definitely less this time around (I aways felt hungry before even with morning sickness) so I lost some weight in the first trimester.

Maybe you are eating healthier this time around so your sickness isn't as bad...or eating less?  Not sure...but count your lucky stars lol!

My DD was born before my bypass and I had bad ms with her. This baby I had like two weeks of nausea and since then I feel pretty good. Maybe this is a boy lol.

I can't say anything about pregnancies prior to surgery, this is my first.  However I can say that I had absolutely no MS with my current pregnancy. I did have a few bouts of nausea but other than that it was smooth sailing. I don't know if it's surgery related or not. Either way I'll take it!

I had several weeks of morning sickness with my first pregnancy which was before my lap band and this time, I was only sick a little tiny bit. I thought maybe that meant it would be a boy, since my first was a girl, but not they are both girls. I don't think my WLS had anything to do with it, but maybe being at a healthier weight makes a difference, I don't know.

I had 3 pregnancies before surgery and they were perfect. I didnt really have the morning sickness.  Now that I am pregnant after the surgery, I have had the worst morning sickness ever!!  I hope it gets better soon!!

Count your blessings now!

From my experience and others, surgery doesn't seem to have made a difference. I was pregnant twice (m/cs) before rny and twice now after. I live in hell the whole time i'm pregnant. I get Hyperemesis and actually start vomitting before I get my BFP! In fact, this time that's how I kinda figured it out.

Since we have to drink slower, some of us find it hard to get enough water and end up "gold card carrying memebers of the hospital hydration club". But I am trying super hard not to do that this time around.

If your not that sick, thank God and hope it continues!

When i was pregnant with my son before WLS i was ALWAYS tired. I am tired now, but a different type of tired. I feel a lot better now. It's hard for me to remember though because that was almost 12 years ago! LOL I do know overall, I feel a lot better. I might be older now then i was, but as far as my overall feeling i feel a hell of a lot better then i remember feeling with my son.
