caffine

anybody know what the caffine guidlines are while preggers? It's been a little while and I don't remember.

I didn't drink any first trimester, went cold turkey.  After 13 weeks I drank a latte a day.  Or some days iced tea instead.  I think it's 300mg of caffeine.

It's up to 200 mg daily. All of my pregnancy books says that anything over that could cause a misscarriage. I have been drinking no more than 100 mg a day just because I was told by my OB that going from about that to no caffine could cause severe headaches which could also cause more vomitting in the 1st trimester. When you are trying to keep everything down anyways this helps especially when you are in those weeks 6-12 when you tend to be a bit nauseous anyways.

I just stuck to one serving a day for example one diet Coke or one ice tea.

its 200mg a day...going cold turkey can cause severe headaches....things at home like tea/coffee have less than when you go out ie starbucks! here is a link with a bunch of amts for different products.
