Hmmmm

LOL Well let me just start out by saying I feel silly or dumb.. Maybe a bit of both LOL. I am 8 mos pregnant and a WLS patient and have been looking for pregnancy forum WLS related.. I have been on OH some time... and yea... ummm... never found it. LOL. Till NOW. In about 4 weeks I will be induced we are thinking I find out the 16th. I am due July 16th with a boy Braxten Lee.. (My first_ and also miracle baby. As I did not think I could have kids.. lol. Apparently... I CAN. :O
So I had some questions all along and still do I suppose... Have any of u hadkids prior to wls and then after? did u feel or experience any problems or difference? in any way?? Again this is my 1st so no real basis to compare but mine has been rough... Docs keep sayin its wls related yet my wl doc says he is not thinking so... so?! LOL. I am curious.. I have had preterm labor 4 times now? I am dilated to 2 well prob more by now but that was at 33 weeks... He was a tiny baby through out the whole thing then got massive all of a sudden lol... they told me not to be suprised if i turn out to have a nine and some lb baby... :O OUCH? lol I also have been havin temps and high blood pressure and soooo mcuh more.. been on complete bed rest since month 5??? I think. Thanks for any comments, feedback, questions of anything as I am new to this.

2, i had 2 post op babies so take it for what its worth
3. my first i had pre term labor and delivered him at 35 weeks at 6 lbs 1 oz.. a big preemie..2nd baby full term
4. fevers and dilation not wls related
5, small baby maybe,,, how is your placenta?
6. ultrasounds can be off by a whole lb

Hi and welcome to the board!

I am on my third baby.  My first was before surgery and now I am on my second post op surgery baby. 

They have been about the same pregnancies for me.  My first I was swollen, had bad heartburn and was over weight. 

My second was easier, no problems at all.  I weighed alot less.  I had a C section with my first and second and will have one with this baby as well. 

I gained 65 with my first, 45 with my second and so far 39 with this baby.  I am having him on July 5th. 
I lost most of my pregnancy weight after having my second.  All but 10 pounds.  With this baby I weighed more than my second when getting pregnant.  I am hoping to lose all the weight and a bit more after having this baby. 
This is my last since I am 39 and so done with being pregnant.  By far this has been my worst one...and I really can't complain much since it was just morning sickness for the first 3 months, never threw up though.  But also very tired and achy with this pregnancy.  I am guessing it's because I am older now...lol   or I can blame it on my DH since this is a different father than my first 2 babies!

Both my pregancys were post WLS I was told I would have a difficult time concieving which it took alot of time but it did happen. If you have preterm labor its most likly not WLS related. Some women just have problems with preterm labor and some don't. U/S can be way off on weights so take it with a grain of salt. the high b/p is that your at the end and its stressful on you body they will probably watch for preeclampsia. the temps could be some sort of infection, a cold, a uti? are you group b positive? bedrest is from you preterm labor...if you have more kids you will probably be at risk each time.

Thank you all kindly for your feedback. Yea they have been watching me for toxemia as my mom had it with both my brother and I. nothin yet... fever.. they are clueless they keep checkin for diff infections but nothing.. as for the placenta... I dunno they have not said much about it besides everything is fine.. lol? yea this took me a while too.. I tried years adn years it seemed to get pregnant with my ex... never happend then i tried again for a while... then now two years later BOOM and I was not trying at all lol.. and it was a huge shock... oh lol and as for weight gein... ughhhh i am still big as u can see by ticker and yea i have gain 40lbs im ready to cry lol.. sooo scared about that.. i dont over eat, and i eat well still.. so i dunno.. lol. pretty active. well was... my mom is a wls life coach and she eeps tellin me ur weight gain is not normal yet my doc says it is.. so i dunno what to think lol. but either way i feel lousy about it. lol Thanks again
