Which was a harder surgery and recovery for you? C-section or RNY? Any input, stories and opinions are greatly appreciated!!

My RNY was way harder. I woke up feeling hit by a truck, c-section was soreness and some pain/ tenderness. BUT nothing matched the gas, soreness and constipation after my RNY

Well I had the VSG, but my VSG was way harder to recover from than my c/s.

RNY was much worse! (Which I don't think was even that bad personally.) And I was feeling pretty good by the time I left the hospital after a vaginal delivery.

I agree.  RNY was WAY worse.  The c-section was a piece of cake compared to that.

I'll say I absolutely HATED my c/s though, and I had some nasty nurses from hell, and it was not the birth I wanted. But I could at least move around easily after a couple days compared to my VSG.

The gas pains I had with my c/s were horrible and I never had any gas pains with my VSG. Plus, I could EAT after my c/s compared to the VSG, LOL

I could go on and on about how much I hated my c/s and why; but hands down I'd do a c/s again over a VSG for "recovery comparison". I'd do my VSG again in a heartbeat just because it's given me my life back and my health and body back as well.

My RNY. I couldn't even sit up without assistance afterwards. I was in SO much pain and had to sleep in a recliner b/c I couldn't sit up on my own.

However, My c-section was awful and I ended up with a nasty infection afterwards... so it sucked but my rny was worse.
