Prenatal NUT appt :(
have always said it didn't take a lot of weight gain to have a healthy pregnancy especially since I have lost a tremendous amount of weight recently. So I saw my nutrionist who helped me with a diet plan that would put me calorie wise (1800 an increase of about 700) where I need to be for healthy me and baby.
Wellll lets just say today was a disaster its 5:33 and even counting my dinner I'm about 400 calories shy of my goal intake
She told me if I don't gain at least 4 lbs by this time next month I'll have to start sending her weekly meal charts until I get my weight gain on track.
sigh.....
try adding in some protein shakes made with milk, even add in some yogurt. I think that 700 calories is a bit much to go up. I was told to increase by 300 calories. So I had to eat 1500-1800 calories, 100 grams of carbs, 90 grams of protein and I had a healthy pregnancy. My OB and NUT also agreed that it was OK if I didn't gain anything or even lost weight during the pregnancy. of course I did gain 26 pounds but everyone was happy with that too.
You can also switch to using 1% or 2% milk.

I think the issue is I don't even get 1200 in on most days and she wanted me around1800 so this is a lot of food. I didn't want to get it from shakes but I may have to. I don't kow if you viewed my profile but I'm very slim so I have to put on at least 20 otherwise either me or the baby aren't getting all the goodies. I have th80-90g protein thing too. I think because today was day 1 it just kinda overwhelmed me but I will do whatever is best for me and baby at this point..so if I have acup of yogurt in my hands 3 times a da that I shall do!
Wow! And to put a even better spin on this everyone is swearing I'm going to TRY not to gain weight because I don't want to get fat and hurt the baby! SO I feel all this added pressure on top of. Its not that I don't want to gain any its I don't want to gain unneccessary and I don't see why people can't tell the difference.
