Losing the baby weight... argh!!!! Help!
Well so I lost all the weight quick but then the PPD kicked in and I had to go on Lexapro (an anti-depressant) and then Remeron (an anti-anxiety drug) to help me get control of myself and be able to function normally. I had to quit nursing because it was adding to my anxiety and my doctor told me at the time that I couldn't nurse with Remeron (which I found out later isn't true!!!!). I was sleep deprived and my nerves were FRIED.
So when the Remeron finally kicked in after a week, I went from NO appetite and gagging food down to being starving and eating all the time!!! I felt like a freaking pig and tried to eat healthy, but I gained like 20 pounds in a month!! I read online that Remeron is actually an appetite stimulant and is given to patients that need to gain weight that are depressed!!!
So I finally was able to get off it like almost 2 weeks ago but I've gained back all my baby weight and am trying to get it off. It isn't falling off like it was the first year after surgery and that's frustrating. I'm cutting back on food and not buying cookies and all the crap that I was buying when I was on the Remeron, but it's not coming off. And if I have a day where I eat a little more, I gain a pound or two! My pants are really tight and I was wearing an 8 before I got pg and now I'm in a tight 12.
How do I lose this weight??? Why isn't it coming off at all? I'm trying to exercise but can't due to hubby being gone in the morning at the gym and me being so tired after getting up with the baby. I'm trying to eat good and hope that gets it off. Help!! I don't want to gain any more and I want to get back down to 145, I'm currently 168!!!
Sorry you are going through so much. Please give yourself some time - that does not mean not taking action but just do not be hard on yourself. You've just had a baby!!! Love you, be gentle to you, embrace you, take care of you.
I truly pray that you come out of this victorious.
Blessings,
Leila
