Beautiful cake! Wonderful idea! And congrats on your baby girl!
So, how did you know she would be a girl when you cut the cake? Was it a white cake that the bakery used pink food coloring to color? Or was there a strip of pink frosting on the inside? Or, did they bake in a token that said whether you were having a boy or a girl?
I love the idea by the way, and with our next baby hubby & I might do something similar! (For this baby, we are on "Team Green". No one knows if this baby is a boy or a girl until papa does first... on baby's birth day!)
