IDK could I be expecting???

Ok, So I am 8 months out from a open gastic bypass, on birth control and normally very regular with my periods. I have never been prego before so I dont know if there is a chance I could be expecting the unexpected or just having an odd week. My last period started May 7th, 2010. So I am not quite late yet or anything, but for some reason my lower back has been bugging me for the last week, I have been having very bad headaches, I have been very very tired, and have had a very little amount of rusty colored spotting over the last three days. At fist I thought I was starting my monthly early, but nope just a tiny spot here and there, then nothing today at all. Oh yeah I have felt like a bottemless pit the last few days. And have noticed a lot more smells than normal, but Im not normal anyway so who knows. I dont want to waste the money on a prego test just yet and I dont want to ask my family their advice because you know how family can be. So what should I do? Give it a week or so and see what happens...get a test anyway? Any advice would be helpful thanks!

buy a dollar store test or go to a womens center where they do free testing. there is two ways to know if you are pregnant pee on a stick or get a blood test! you could hold off and see if you start but when you are going through these changes your body can do funny things. let us know!

Take a test and if it is negative then wait to see if you start when you should if you dont take another. Some woman don't test positive until the day of the missed period. Good luck!

yes they work i got my first positive with molly with it 5 days before my missed period.

when i said changes i mean the weight loss and the recent surgery etc. :)

I'm a little late to read your post, but....

Just wondered if you tried the dollar store test? I was a couple days late on my period and bought like 5 dollar tree tests. I took one and there was the faintest positive line. I waited a couple more days and took another, same thing, but slightly darker line. I kept this up for several tests and the positive line just kept getting more and more dark, but always positive. It was right on.

So, I think they are just as accurate as the more expensive ones.

P.S. One of my first signs was VERY tender breasts.

Thanks, ill try that tomorrow. Its not offically late tell then anyway. but I have felt like crap majorly, had a really bad headache, and just no energy at all. I know this is a odd question, but do rny'ers get morning sickness? I know I havent felt much of anything in my tummy area sense the operation, no hunger or anything so ididnt know if that would still apply to post operative people. I breast are a little sensative, but nothing too out there. Ill let everyone know as soon as i know something, thanks again,
