Where are the maternity clothes?
Jeez...it's like a treasure hunt!!
I live in Nebraska. Do you think I can find maternity clothes?!? When I needed pants, I thought I'd just go to WalMart and get some maternity jeans or something. Nope. They have NO maternity clothes at the WM near me. Okay, I tried K-Mart and Herbergers. Nothing at KMart, and Herbergers had a maternity "corner" that consisted of three pairs of pants (one jean, one tan slacks, one black slacks), and three shirts (basically all the same in different colors). The maternity clothes weren't anywhere near the women's clothes, they were tucked in a corner by the bras and underwear!! Like it's a shame to need them!!
So, my question is, does anyone know where a person can buy maternity clothes here in the midwest other than online? I'd like to be able to see them and try them on.
Sorry for the rant and thanks in advance.

There is a Target about 1 1/2 hrs from here. I can check that.
Believe me, I'm not opposed to second hand either. I've checked a couple Goodwill stores, but they don't seperate the clothes by sizes or maternity. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack.
I just thought it'd be easy to find this stuff....shows what I know. I guess I need to open a maternity wear store, huh?
Thanks ladies!!

Do you have any consignment shops in your area? I understand about Goodwill...it's crazy looking for stuff in there. But I have had great luck at consignment shops. I also ordered Old Navy online because their shipping is cheap. I would just tell you their stuff runs big. Good luck, I know it's tough to find stuff and NOT spend a fortune too, that's why I went mostly consignment.
Oh...ald also JCPenney can have stuff too. I know not every store carries it, but their stuff is cute.

Mommy to 2 of the most beauiful little girls in the whole universe and still in love with my hubby of 8 years. LIFE IS GOOD!
It depends what size you need. I wore a size 20 prepregnancy and I could wear Target maternity clothes in XXL and then went to Motherhood maternity where they have plus sizes. The Old Navy around here had only 2 racks of maternity clothes, Kohl's had 2 racks, JC Penny had some but only there shirts went to XXL pants only XL. Good luck to you. I even just bought some plus size pull on pants cause it was too hard to find maternity. I also couldn't believe that Wal-Mart and K-Mart no longer have maternity clothes, it's crazy!
I got a pair of capris at Old Navy. They still fit. I got a pair of shorts at Target and had to take them back by the time it was warm since they didn't fit right by then. My fav place is Motherhood Maternity. A little pricey but they fit WONDERFULLY and I should be able to wear them until I deliver or at least very close to it. I know the Old Navy capris will be done with in the next month or so.
I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.
