Hi i'm 14mo Post-op any newly pregnant with my second. I'm so use to drinking "diet" drinks but i heard the artificial sweetners are not good for the baby. what are you all drinking in your pregnancy?

I am anal about not using artifical sweetners once I found out I'm pregnant. I was drinking around 90 oz of crystal light before cause that's the only way I could get in all my water for the day, well now I drink country time lemonade. I water it down to about 1/2 strength though so it's not strong and not so much sugar and calories. It's been working fine.

I still did the 'diet drinks' while preggo. My ob said it was fine.... but to each his own. (no flames pls)

I have heard it reccomended to get no sugar added juice and water it way down (like more water than juice). It cuts the sugar and calories and is all natural.

Good luck with your pregnancy.

I can't have sweeteners anyway due to migranes. I either drin**** water (it has to be ice cold or I get sick.) Sobe lifewater that has Stevia, or Gatoraid. The Gatoraid is on my cardiologists orders. I was drinking kool-aid mixed half and half with Sprite when I was newly pregnant when nothing went down. I make the kool-aid with 6 packs of stevia to a pack of kool aid. You could adjust to your taste.

Not preggo, but just wanted you to know that Vitamin Water Zero tastes excellent and has vitamins, no cals. Yesterday I tried Gatorade (G2) and it was good. Has 20 cals and some vitamins, plus potassium. I am sure they are fine for an occasional alternative to your loads of water that you need :)

Ice water (plain - can't stand flavored), decaf iced tea, usually one regular dr pepper a day. ( I know, don't get after me - doc said okay)

Mostly I just drink water, but that's because I only wan****er. The only other thing I really drink on a daily basis is decaf iced coffee. I drink one large one every day. I use half sugar & half splenda to sweeten it. I have definitley cut back on my sweetner intake, but I do still use it. Most docs say that's OK, but if you feel strongly against it, go with your gut.

Decaf coffee with sugar free creamer, DIET (not light) ocean spray cranberry juice, ZERO vitamin water, SLENDERIZE Fuse drinks Diet snapple (on 1 a day because it has caffeine) and water...

NO sugar and no carbination- been the same way since surgery regardless of being pregnant. The only thing i changed was the coffee during pregnancy- went from caffinated to decaf. My doctor says this is fine.
