Anberlin reached a milestone and a few questions.
Annie FINALLY rolled over!! She went from her tummy to her back yesterday during tummy time. It was sooo funny because she got sooo excited when she did it.
Well I also had a few questions. Anberlin can't seem to stop talking long enough to breastfeed anymore! I don't know how to get her to quiet down so she can eat. It's pretty funny actually but frustrating! Does anyone have any advice on this? She also wants to drink out of a cup so badly! She loves ice water too. Is it too early to give her a few oz of water a day what about diluted fruit juice?
Thanks!
Ashlie

I personally don't see anything wrong with giving her small amounts of water. You just don't want her to fill up on it or anything. Juice can be diluted and given to her, just be careful because she may like it so much that she won't want milk at all. My SIL is having that issue right now with her daughter, thankfully Libby has never had that issue. I seriously need to buy a cow or two for her! Also, be careful with apple juice because it tends to make babies gassy and cause loose stools. It is recommended for children who have problems with constipation.
BTW she is beautiful and you look so fantastic!!

Yah my Pedi told me to give water to Bella. Small amount help with her bowels he said and in the summer it keeps her hydrated. I give Bella a zippy cup no bottle. There are stage 1,2,3 bottles they go by ages.
Congrats Annie for rolling over. Bella loves to roll. She loves to get her toys.
You lom great and Annie you are sooooo cute!!!

Tristan started on water and juice at about 4 months because he wanted to eat all of the time and his pedi was concerned that he was getting too much formula (he was). We bought Nuk brand sippy cups. They have 'learner' cups which are fexible like nipples by will teach them to use a sippy cup properly. Tristan gets about 24oz of formula (no idea as to what that translates to in breastfeeding) and probably the same amount of 25% juice ( ibuy the no added sugar and just dilute it. My pedi said no more than 6 oz of straight juice a day).
Good luck.
Good luck.

I put maybe 2-4 oz and she mostly chews(teething) and drinks some. You can tell when Bella gets a gulp in her mouth she gives me this funny look like wtheck. Haha!! Like Courtney said I have given her a straw and they will suck from them after a min or too. It's funny. My pedi said no juice again b/c there no nutrional value and then they may not like water. Plus my mom said when she gave us water even diluted we got diarrhea and it broke out our butts in a bad rash. And burned. So only water for Bella. What little she gets. But I just put a little in a soft silicone or hard nuby (brand) thru out the day and let her play around with it.

yea we both know it's the right thing to do, I just wish my family would chill out. I know they want me to be independent but they are totally in love with the baby and I know it's going to be hard for them. I just keep reminding them it's not like were moving across the country!
