OT- Need advice. Long

Wow thank you all so much.  I know we need to move, that's what I really want.  It's easier in a way to be living at home, but there are so many more pros to getting out on our own again.  I just contacted an apartment today, starting to get the gears moving!

Glad to hear you are moving forward with your plans! Your mom will eventually realize that you are a mother and a wife now and have your own household that needs you.

While I understand her emotional attachment to your child, I do think it is a bit wrong to give you a guilt trip. As a mother, she should want you to have the best for your family, just like she wants for her own family.  You need to do what is best for your family and everything will work out. Sometimes being further away makes you really appreciate your family more so than if they were right under your nose.
