ok.   I have a scheduled c-section in 3 weeks.  I was 10 months out from GB when i got pregnant.  i was down like 160 pounds, but i still needed to lose a good 100 more.  Well, ever since i got pregnant, i have been playing mind games with myself.  Telling myself that its ok to eat this, or that, because im pregnant.  I have gotten myself into a BAD routine of eating crap and am falling back into old habits that got me 408 pounds before surgery.  anyways, i have no one to blame but myself.  i noticed tonight that i ate 4 pieces of pizza...now, they were really small and skinny pieces which would equal up to 2 normal size, but thats not tha point, the point is i ATE all of it.  I am so scared i am going to start gaining weight back after i have this baby.  I am thinking about doing the 5daypouchtest after surgery, but i am curious at its success rate.  What did some of yall do when you fell off the wagon?  I am in serious need of some help.  I know i have messed up.  Plesase help me!!! I appeciate it!!
God never promised it would be easy, but he did promise it would be worth it.

I don't have much to say except for the fact that I'm in the same boat as you. I got back into bad habits while pregnant with my daughter and with stress, etc. I have gained maybe 50 lbs. or so since her birth after losing 184 before I got pregnant. She is now 19 months old. Anyway, I've heard the 5dpt works and I started mine today. It seems easy enough to help get myself back on track so I thought I would give it a shot. I had the protein shake for breakfast and I WAS going to do the soup for lunch. Well, after soup #1 exploded in the microwave at work, I cleaned it up and tried soup #2 doing 30 seconds at a time while stiring in between until it got hot enough. Well, the last 30 seconds, soup #2 decides to explode in the microwave as well. By this point, I'm beyond pissed and said to hell with it and went to lunch somewhere.  LOL  I know probably a bad idea, but I'd be damned if I was going to try soup #3 and it explode too.  :)

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you are NOT alone. Hang in there and watch what you eat and maybe you can get yourself back on track after your baby is born.

Thanks, Karine.  You made me laugh.  lol.  Its nice to know someone shares in my misery..although I wouldnt wish this on anyone, but its nice to know there are people out there that ACTUALLY know what its like to go through this hell.  Keep me posted on this pouch test, as i still have 3 weeks till delivery.  I plan on doing the test the moment I have her.  I am not breast feeding because with my first child i had SEVERE post partum and I will be medicated.  The anti-depressants that you can take and breast feed dont work for me, and for one reason or another i just dont plan on breast feeding...so i know losing the baby weight is gonna be a little harder.  lets just keep giving eachother pep talks!! :) WE CAN DO IT!!

You got it girlie!!!!  I'm all about some support... hahaha. I'm going to try again tmr with the soups, but I think I'm going to pour it in a bowl then heat it up.  LOL  Those soups on the go don't like my microwave at work.  :)   I completely understand about not breastfeeding, I couldn't either for other reasons, but I gots 2 healthy children though.  Oh, by the way, how much weight have you gained in your pregnancy?  Just curious, but wanted to tell you I gained 12 lbs with my daughter, but I lost 23 after she was born by c-section. Keep your chin up! There is hope for you afterall...   :)

I had my surgery a little over a month after you, and I got preggo 9 months post op (still pregnant) and I have gotten into the habbit of eating poorly too (i say this as i put a peice of a hershey bar in my mouth) ** DONT JUDGE!!**

I am also doing a 5DPT to get myself back on track after my LO is born. Its really hard to do, (i did one before...) but it seems to be worth it to me.

Look at it this way, you know what your doing....thats the first step to fixing the problem!

Good luck, and feel free to message me!!  After this kid makes her way into the world, Id love to have a buddy to do the 5DPT with!!

Hi Jackie,
I am in the same boat, I am on my second post op baby though.  I have found that we can actually eat more while being pregnant.  Believe me, after you have the baby it will go back down.  But I have also found that some days I can eat a lot and other days it's just like it was when I first had surgery.
I am pretty sure you have NOT stretched out your pouch though.

Try not too feel too bad, since you RNY you are most likely still malabsorbing fat and calories (at least for a short while longer). Just start each day fresh with a new attitude with the thought that your baby deserves nothing but the best, healthiest food and an occasional treat won't hurt. Moderation is the key!

yay... I'm not the only one... lol

I got pregnant 4 months out from surgery and was down 107... Now I was prego with twins and at first I wasn't eating enough and so there started my problems.... after time I was eating more and such and the boys were growing... Now I lost the entire pregnancy or stayed the same until the last month I gained 22lbs back... But after having them I lost 48lbs in 9-10 days... I though wow kick ass I am still gonna lose and started grazing instead of eating my normal 5 small meals... and my boys are just about a month old now and I gained 10lbs back and have been staying there... I am trying to get myself back on track and I think I am gonna have to call my NUT if I can't get this under control.... Before surgery I was 519 and was 412 when I got pregnant... got as low as 318 and am now at 327 So I still have a lot to go... My first personal  goal is to get to 250 so I hope I can get back on track... I just wanted to let you know your not the only one... I hope everything goes well for ya...
