May ask for Clomid? Or other suggestions ..
Hi Ladies,
Since the MC in Nov. my cycles have been messed up and I don't know if it's self-induced stress because i'm trying SO hard to get PG or if it comes with age (i'll be 36 in 2 weeks)? Last cycle I winged it, we didn't temp or do OPK - I just followed a calendar. I thought I O'd, thought I had implantation bleeding, had PG symptoms, all BFN's, AF showed up 3 weeks "late".
I am currently on CD23, have been using an OPK since CD8 and have NOT gotten a positive yet. I'm so frustrated. I start with a new OB/GYN tomorrow and wonder if I should ask for Clomid?
TIA, Cathie

If you want to go the med route right away and your doc agrees, I would go for it, due to age (she says, turning 34 in 2 months). If you would like to try more natural, Vitex is great for balancing hormones (I decided to try it due to terrible acne and my cycles varying from 29-33 days). Soy Isoflavones are considered the herbal form of Clomid (though it's not strictly true, but close enough) if you want to try that for a few months.
Also, I resisted for a long time, but I finally caved and started temping. It will help avoid the "3 weeks late" thing. If you'd been temping, you'd have known that you either didn't O (1-2x per year is normal to not O) or you O'd 3 weeks late. It sucks knowing too, but at least you save a few bucks on HPTs ;) If I were you, I would start taking a much more active stance on TTC. I highly recommend the Actively Trying board on Babycenter. There's some cliquiness and cattyness (like everywhere) but there's a TON of useful information.
HTH a bit!

I DID Make It - 135.4 8-1-10! Now working on post baby weight loss. (All WL post-op - preop got up to 220 from quitting smoking & last supper syndrome.) 5'2"
I would prefer a natural remedy. I'll def. check on the Soy Isoflavens and Vitex. Thank you for recommending the board on Babycenter. I try to steer clear of cattyness and cliques but i'll at least check the site out ..
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
