Weight loss after pregnancy

Hello,

I had bypass surgery in Jan of 2008, I lost 126 pounds and theb got pregnant. I am still down 100 pounds, but really would like to lose the other 26. I seem to be really struggling and find that I feel like I am failing..
Has anyone else experienced this or have any tips on losing the weight? I was thinking going back to the liquid diet at the beginning of the post weight loss surgery.
I used to be on this board all the time and then stopped for a bit.. it is time to get back to using the support.

I am in a similar situation. I got pregnant 7 months out after losing almost 100lbs and had my son in January. I am at my lowest since surgery, but have barely lost anything since I had him. I got into the terrible habit of grazing all day long. I was so worried about getting enough calories in for the pregnancy and it has been hard for me to get back on track. I joined Weigh****chers last week which was really hard. I feel like a failure and was embarassed to have to go there, but I don't want to gain the weight back and am still 60 lbs from goal.  My biggest problems are the snacking and drinking with my meals. I am going to stay with Weigh****chers until I feel more on track again. I lost almost 5 pounds last week. I am considering trying the 5 day pouch test to try to get my head back in gear and listen to my pouch again. Has anyone done this? Did it help? Good luck Laurie. Maybe we can help eachother out.

Hi,

I also joined weigh****chers and felt like a really big failure. I am even having a hard time getting on track with that. I feel I could go all day without eating and then at night I am starving.. So I try grazing during the day and maybe I won't be so hungry at night, then I find I am grazing too much during the day.
I have to ask what the five day pouch test is, I was never told this? What do you do for that? I also have a time not drinking through meals.

I am hoping that we can help eachother out. I need all the help I can get :) I felt so good at my lowest weight before getting pregnant with Jake.

I am right there too... I got pregnant 4 months out though with twins I was 412 when I got pregnant and 107lbs down... I lost the whole pregnancy untill tthe end I gaine 22 lbs and then after they were born 5/6 with in 10 days I lost another 48lbs... I'm thinking oh cool... I was down to 318lbsmy lowest since surgery and a total of 201lbs gone... I am still swollen and retaining water but I already gained 10lbs back... Idk what it is... I was catching myself grazing and stoped.. I drink so much water during the day, but I don't think I am eating enough now because while I was pregnant all I did was graze it seemed cuz I could never get enough cals in... So I need help too...  I  think I am gonna make an apt. with my NUT...

I haven't had my baby yet, but I did do the five day pouch test before I got pregnant when I found I was making poor choices. I found it really helped me refocus and get back on track.

What is the five day pouch test? Can you tell me what you do for it?
