I've been bedrested!

Yesterday I went shopping with my family and had a dull headache but didn't really think too much about it. I was thinking I hadn't felt the baby move much that afternoon but then again thought it was just because I was out and about and not really paying much attention. Well all of a sudden, I thought there were little bugs coming down from the ceiling and I started swatting them away from me, when I realized I was seeing spots in my vision. It was the weirdest thing ever. So I called my doctor and she recommended that I go into the ER and then L&D so they could check me out since I have a history of high blood pressure in my previous pregnancy. So I go in and they are swamped so it takes them forever to check my blood pressure. They finally do and it's ok, it was 138/78 which is higher for me, but not really considered high. They hook me up to check for baby's heartrate and any contractions. Baby's heartrate looks great and steady. They checked my urine which was perfect. Had me rest there for awhile and retook my BP which had lowered to 111/62 so they think my BP was elevated and that just by me resting it went down considerably. So I am supposed to take it easy and rest until my next doctor appointment on Tuesday. The other crazy thing that I probably should have mentioned but didn't. I will mention this to my doctor on Tuesday, is that I weigh myself on Thursdays, well I was sick one week and lost 4 lbs, the following week, which was last Thursday, I weighed myself and had gained those 4 lbs back plus another 5 which makes 9 lbs in one week! My ankles and feet are swollen but not any more than they have been for awhile. So I'm not sure what that weight gain was all about. Anyway, hopefully everything will be fine on Tuesday and I won't have to be on bedrest anymore.

On a side note, does anyone know if the baby can drop and then go back up again. I think mine does that. Some days I can hardly eat anything and have to drink liquids until early afternoon. I spoke with my lap band surgeon thinking he'd unfill me but he thinks I am ok cause of the amount I can eat in the evening, plus I only have a few more weeks to go. Also I think the baby goes up and down cause I will get these pains and heaviness between the legs for awhile and then it goes away. Just wondering if anyone knows.

My baby girl was all over but she loved laying in my back. She never went down and stayed just kept moving around there till I had my final night. I sure hope everything gets back to normal for you.

Thanks! I keep having a headache but no more spots, so I guess that's good. We'll see what the doc says tomorrow.
