Severe back pain

I am due on sat and I am having severe back pain. im really not having any contractions that I know of. This is my first so im really not sure. but yesterday before the back pain, and continuing until now, it feels as if someone broke my crotch bone into a million pieces. Will the back pain go away or is it going to last until delivery? I know I have heard of back labor. How do I know when I should go to the hospital? thanks

Hi Tiffany, I would say give your dr's office a call, let them know what's going on and see what they recommend. Hope you feel better soon, Having the baby is sure to help too :)

I have had back labor with all 3 of mine and my last was the worst. I would say if you are very uncomfortable go in and get checked. The back labor can be intense and they do a quick ultrasound on me and know baby is face up and thats why it all in my back. Problem was the regular contraction monitor does not always find them either. Always have to get the internal monitors in place before they see how strong my contractions really are. Its all just crazy but once you are focused its not so hard. You can do it! I hope you get some relief soon!
