Two important questions!
Thanks you ladies so much for always answering my questions and being so supportive. I have two more LOL.
First- Sage is an awesome baby. She is so calm and alert. For the passed week or so, every night at around 9pm she will start crying really bad for NO reason, and cry almost non stop for about 30-40 minutes. Then she goes to sleep and sleep beautifully throughout the night. She barley ever cries during the day and never cries at night when she wakes. I don't think it's colic because I thought that was for hours on end. My brother had colic and he was a nightmare for 2 years non stop. Is this normal? Should I be worried?
Second- I stopped breast pumping about 2 weeks ago. I stopped leaking milk 3 days ago. But now I really want to start pumping again. In the beginning it was SO over whelming, now I miss giving her breast milk and want to try again. Has anyone stopped pumping or BFing and started up again?
Thanks in advanced
Karen

Hi Karen,
I can only help with the milk thing, and wanted to offer resouces! Contact your nearst La Leche League for assistance as there are tons of things you can do - herbal assistance and even medication to induce lactation! And it's totally possible, Lydia is 10 months old now, and I still leak even though I had to stop BF at 8 weeks. Try this ... http://www.llli.org/
As for the crying, I would reccomend some baby massage techniques ... find a class in your area. It was THE BEST thing I did as a new momma. Truly amazing for calming fussles and fostering a bond!
Much love, good luck!

Hi,
The crying in the evenings I have read about... it's just crying for no apparent reason, just to drive mommy & daddy crazy! lol (I read this in a pamphlet that they gave me at the WIC office called "all babies cry" or something like that.)
It was funny when I read it, but now I can tell from your post that it isn't too funny when it actually happens!
I'm sure you probably checked all the obvious reasons to cry: she's not hungry, or wet/dirty, or needing a burp or too hot/too cold? Maybe she has some internal gas, like deep in her belly. Have you tried giving her baby gas-x? (I think it's called Mylicon infant gas drops or something)
I don't think it's colic either... because if it was she wouldn't be sleeping so nicely throughout the night, that's for sure!

As far as your other question:
Here is a link http://www.llli.org/FAQ/relactation.html
It might offer you some good advice. Apparently, it is very possible to draw out breast milk again, even after drying up. It may take a while though.
Hope this helped you a bit! Much love,
Amanda

All three of my kids went through a cranky time in the evenings. It wasn't colic either. It's like they are just overtired and need to cry and then crash asleep!
If you just stopped leaking 3 days ago, I would guess you would have a good shot at restoring your milk supply. If it's important to you, I would give it a shot! Whether you are nursing or pumping, I have found that drinking a glass of water and taking a deep breath seems to help with milk let-down. Just my experience!

Addy is fussy from around 8 pm until around 10:30/11 pm ... It drives me nuts because she has everything she needs. She isn't crying....just fussy. She typically is pretty easy going..though she is up about every 2 hours to eat round the clock. I don't think it is colic though. It might just be one of those things babies do. My first cried all the time though he was never diagnosed "colic"... I am counting my blessings with Addy :-) I'm sure they'll grow out of it soon.
As for as the breast pumping... you should check out www.kellymom.com It is a great resource for breastfeeding/pumping.

Anberlin would cry like that too! She would be happy and smiling one second and w/ a flip of the switch she would lose it! She would cry and cry and nothing helped. It only happened a hand full of times from birth to about 2 months old but it was always at night around bed time. She would stiffen up so I am pretty sure it was gas. I would put my boppy pillow on my lap and lay her tummy down w/ her arms over the boppy and rub/pat her back to help her toot. I would also just hold her really close and talk in her ear and rub her bac****il she would finally settle down. If you can start breast feeding again that should help too. Annie always calms down when breastfed.
