Went into Labor last night.......LONG

Yesterday I was feeling fantastic!  I got up early went to walmart bought an above ground pool, came home started setting it up with the help of my parents and sister....(no heavy lifting ya know).  Came in the house, piddled around a little light cleaning etc.....had to go pick up a dog kennel for some friends of mine coming in from out of town....then visit another friend that had a cat that just had kittens, I left her house....drove got a milk shake...

As soon as I got home again, I started feeling what I THOUGHT were braxton hicks contractions...so I just moved around, layed down...all the recommended things. NO RELIEF! I decided to follow Drs orders and do a tylenol/benedryl ****tail and a warm soak in the tub....NO RELIEF....By this time its almost 10...and this has been going on since about 8.

Every time I go to L&D I feel stupid cause they tell me its nothing and send me home...I found out why!!  (ill get back to that) Finally around 530a. I wake up Chad and tell him, WE GOTTA GO, IM HURTING SERIOUSLY! So we go to the hospital I get put on the monitor, and the nurse stays in there for about half an hour, and in that time, I thought I felt two contractions, but nothing showed up on the monitor.....

She asked me when I made that "face" where i was actually hurting, I explained it starts in my back and wraps around to my lower tummy....She moved the sensor to the lower part of my uterus and sure enough in the next half hour picked up 4 contractions!!!  (STRONG CONTRACTIONS) i looked dead at my fiance and said "I TOLD YOU IM NOT CRAZY!!

Now I am on STRICT bedrest, my dr said I am only allowed to leave the bed to pee, get something to drink or go to the couch....(i did specifically ask if i could sit on a floatie in my new pool, he said we would talk about it monday **fingers crossed!!**) I got a shot to stop the contractions, and they put me on an oral pill every four hours to stop the contractions....

On this pill I feel like a CRACKHEAD!!  It makes me shake and jittery and EVERYTHING gets on my nerves....

Ugh...I dont know how well this is all gonna go being on bedrest...any prayers you ladies could send up for my Lil One I would appreciate it!  She needs to hold off for another 4 weeks...thats all Im askin!! (btw, I was dialated to 2 when they checked me at the hospital, but last friday at my dr appt i was not dialated in the least lil bit)

Whoa girl! What a crappy way to end a day that started off great! Im glad you decided to listen to your body and go in to the hospital before it was too late! I will definatly say some prayers for you and LO. Take it easy. I know its hard!

I went through the very same thing at 32 weeks with Isabella, and as a matter of fact was in L&D for the same thing last night (once again 32 weeks) I got the shot too  - it is called turbutaline and yes, it makes me feel like I am cracked out too!!! Good luck, keep us posted on how you are feeling. I am on the couch - feeling lazy!

I hope that you can keep baking for a few more weeks. I was having contractions around 34 weeks but it wasn't enough to dilate me so they sent me home, even though I was still contracting regularly. I was hoping not to have to take those meds for the same reason you are talking about. Maybe you won't have to take them for long. Fingers crossed.

omg...stop that! lol i know i know u have no control but you and are so close in dates that u just scared the crap out of me! Ive been dealing with an irritable uterus for the past couple of weeks and im sure this little girl wants to come out early too, but we gotta keep baking!
stay in bed!!! but i do hope the doc lets u sit on a floatie in the new pool...that sounds divine right about now!


P.S. Dawn i was just thinking about you! havent seen u around and since u and i are ALSO so close in dates, you TOO need to stop with the contractions =) lol

Well It is Sunday, and I have offically been on bedrest for 3 days now.  OMG this is the hardest thing I have ever had to do.  I feel like  if I ask someone to do something, it doesnt get done as quickly as it would have if I had done it myself.  Nothing is as clean as I want it to be and I swear God is trying to turn me into a Barbie.

You all remember making your barbies do the splits right....well thats what it feels like.

I recently had to have emergency surgery on my intestions and was on the same type bed rest for 2 weeks, just about killed me.  The house not being as clean as I like it was what drove me nuts.  Towards the end it bothered me less and less each day.  I am back up on my feet but have to take it easy. 

I too got the shots becasue my surgery started contractions, but even worse then a pill I had to have a supasatory every 4 hours, less than attractive.
