I'm finally sharing the news!!!

After my OB appt yesterday, with the confirmation of no genetic problems, we decided to finally tell our secret. We've been waiting to make sure everything was okay before we told ANYONE. So, needless to say, I've been sneaking cell phone calls from work today to call my family.

My family is really excited. This will be my the first grandchild for my mom and of course, first great for the grandparents. So everyeone's happy!!

My husband will be in charge of telling his family. I'm sure they won't be so thrilled! He's older and has three grown children. They won't like it at all!! He has three sisters, one of which will be pretty negative I'm sure...But I will not let their issues bother me!! (ya--right)

I'm just happy to finally be able to share our news!! What a load off...LOL

wow! congrats! i dont know how you were able to keep it a secret for 16 weeks!!! i cant keep a secret that long! Good luck with his family, fingers crossed they will suprise you and be supportive... i think its very crappy when people act negativly when a new child is about to come in to the world.... best wishes :)

Just wondering, did you think there were going to be genetic problems? Do they run in the families?

No. Nothing on either side. I'll be 37 in July, so they do it on anyone over 35 at my doctors office.
