Birth Story and Pictures of the Twins!

So, I did go into labor on Sunday morning- we headed to the hospital, arriving at about 10:00 am. After the assessment, I was at a 5 and taken to a laboring room. I did receive an epi, my favorite! Then, after about two hours, they checked me again and I was still a 5. They decided to get ready to add some pitocin so I didn't totally stall. She went to get it, came back 10 mintes later, and was concerned about baby A's heartrate- it had dipped and they were concerned. She went to put a scalp monito on and said, "You're a 10!" Seriously, in 10 minutes! I dialated like that with my daughter, but it was more like 45 minutes. I had to push in an operating room, which is protocol for twins in case an emergency C- sec is necessary. I pushed four times and out came Baby A- Khael Simeon. He weighed in at 6 lbs 11 ounces, and screamed right away. He was pretty bruised though, which I'm not sure how that happened as the whole thing took less than four hours and less than two minutes of pushing. Unfortunately, Baby B, Jaaron Drake was breech, so my Dr. spent about a minute digging around for both of his feet- even with an epi that was uncomfortable. She pulled him out feet first two minutes after his brother. He weighed in at 5 lbs 11 ounces. I ripped really bad though, and the stitches stretch from one end to the other. But, I didn't want a C-section, so I am very glad that it all worked out so I didn't have to. So, that's my story! I am trying to put pics on for the first time- hoping that they work! I'll post a better update later on. I appreciate all your support through this pregnancy!

Congrats hun! They are little cuties :) You werent kidding about the bruising either on your 1st little guy. Did they say why it happend? Your daughter looks so thrilled to be a big sister! Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing!

 Congrats Mommy!! I am very glad you had a vaginal birth like you wanted. Both boys are sooo precious!! Tearing sucks but ice and numbing spray with help. Keep up with your tylenol and ibuprofen it will take the edge off. THe pic with your daughter is soooo cute.
