I haven't posted here in ages!! (illustrated!)
Hey gals, remember me?!
This is a picture from the winter, but I got a bad haircut about six weeks ago, and I am still suffering through the awful bangs...so I like to look at this picture a lot and remember how awesome my hair was before the bang incident. ::sigh::

I have two beautiful, talented, and brilliant squids...
This is my oldest, Ephram. He will be four in August. I cannot believe that!
And this is my dinky, his name is Simon and he turned two in December.
They are the best of friends, even though they terrorize each other as much as humanly possible. I figure that will build character.
I havent been posting here as much as I once did because I have been so darn busy. The two toddler-squids keep me hopping, but I am also a full time student to boot! I entered nursing school shortly after Simon was born, and have been plugging away at that ever since. I have an internship in the NICU over the summer and then 12 more weeks of school...by the time Simon is 3 I will be a nurse!!!! I am so excited. I have managed to sneak my way into the NICU at the hospital and have been working as an Aide on the floor, and hopefully I will get to turn that into a full time position as a nurse there once I graduate.
My husband also went back to school when I did, and I am so proud to report that he is graduating with not one, but two degrees in just a couple of weeks. YAY!! Things are really starting to come together for us...it has been a really rough couple of years.
This is us a couple of weeks ago. Me looking especially chubby (and note the horrific bangs...) and the hubs.
Other than that, we havent been up to much. I have gained about 45 pounds during this nursing school debacle, I am working out and trying to adjust my eating so I might take off those 45 (plus 15 more?) and I am really hitting a wall. I have a giant carb problem. Any advice or suggestions?
I guess that is it from me. I pop in frequently and read up on a lot of you. It wont be too awfully long before Kyle and I start trying to create a fifth (and final?) member of the family...I will be so excited to rejoin the ranks!
Here are a few more pics of the squids. I have a photography problem...I love taking pictures of my squids...I have billions of images. ;)
This is Ephram and his best buddy Sam. Ephram is almost four, Sam turned five back in April. As you can see, Ephram is kind of a giant.
Those eyes...they're gonna get him a lot of attention one day. The kind of attention that is going to make this Mommy nervous.
For now I will encourage this behavior to keep the girlies at bay!

Simon is also a sweetheart.
Ephram is a ROCK STAR!!!
Hot dogs with ketchup make him happy!

I have not personally had a child in the NICU, but supported my best friend while her son was in the for 77 days. She is still very close friends with the RN that was her son's primary.
I am finishing up my last few classes (I have 3 left) before I can apply to the RN programs here. I am having my 3rd child (FINALLY A BOY!) in July - will finish my last 3 pre-reqs than hopefully be on my way! I want to be a L&D/OBGYN nurse. Wish me luck!

Your boys are beautiful. Congrats to your DH on his graduation...and your impending graduation! and the bangs aren't so bad...I like them...but do like the other picture better. I love Sam's little red-headed friend too...he's very cute.

So good to see you again! Congrats to your hubby on his graduation. I know that is a great accomplishment. And you, doing to nursing school with two young boys...you are Super Woman!

OMG it has been a LONG time and it is good to see you and your boys. I can't believe how grown up they are getting.
You look GREAT!! I know what you mean about carbs. I started to write everything down that I put in my mouth and that was all it took to get some things changed. I try to eat more protein etc. Keeps you full longer. :)
Congrats on your upcoming graduations! That is such an AWESOME acomplishment for the both of you and with dealing with children during all of it. I will be getting my official master's degree in Aug. It has been challenging with working full-time going to school part-time and raising my 5 year old son all at the same time.
