1 Month Update with Pics of course!!!
Sage is one month old today! I can hardly believe it. I remember TTC and a month felt like a year, and the TWW felt like 2 years! Now a month flew by and I wish I could stop the clock sometimes. I am home all day with my little girl and I cannot get enough of her. Daddy is completely in love with his daughter and has watched her all by himself several times now and is doing great! He's never been around babies in his life, but he is a natural!
She had her one month checkup yesterday and weighs 9 lbs 5 ounces!! I cannot believe she has gained just about 3 lbs! She is also 21 inches tall, so she grew an inch! She is still a tiny lil peanut barley filling out her newborn clothes! She is still on her apnea monitor, although she has had no real alarms (only a couple false alarms). He gave me the option of keeping her on or taking her off but oddly enough this stupid monitor that caused me SO much stress in the beginning, became normal and comforting very quickly. I mean how many moms wouldn't want a monitor on at night to let them know that their child IS breathing. So we are keeping it on, nights only, until 4 months. Also, her heart murmur sounds like it's closing up! Her cardiologist appt is on Monday so I will update about that next week.
Some new developments, she is still an awesome baby!! I take her out daily, if not I would die of boredom in this house all day. She sleeps about 5 hours straight through the night, wakes up and feeds, then goes back to sleep for two more hours, then naps in the morning. She is SO alert. Her eyes are turning greenish just like mommy's and her hair is getting a little lighter. Yesterday was a big milestone day. She was laying on me and my sister called her name and her head shot right over and looked at her, may have just been coincidence, but she is definitely responding to voices. Then we tried some tummy time yesterday, and get this, my one month old tiny baby rolled over from her tummy to her back!!!! A few minutes later we put her on her tummy again, and she did it again!!!
She has awesome control of her head about 70 percent of the time, she loves staring at faces and the ceiling fans in the house. We have also gotten a couple of real smiles out of her. She even smiled for the doctor yesterday and he commented on her pretty little dimples!
All in all we are completely blessed to have such a beautiful, healthy baby. Things get more and more closer to a routine each day. All of our family and friends are in love with her, and are already talking about a brother or sister for Sage, although not for a year or two!
Here are some (OK a lot) recent pics of Sage at Mommy's graduation ceremony and her 1 month dr.s appt!

she's so cute and that pic of you two looking at each other is precious! It almost looks like she was smiling? They grow up so fast and you have to enjoy every moment, which it sounds like you are. This is my 3rd and probably last kid, so I'm really trying to enjoy every last baby moment I can with Brady!!! He'll be 2 months old on the 3rd! Babies are so fun, huh?!
