Had my internal exam today and have a question
My internal exam was not pleasant to say the least but anyway. She said i my cervix was soft and short. Is this any indication when i will go into labor? She did not mention that I was dialated at all. I am due in 12 days. I have been feeling uncomfortable since all day is this normal? Im getting very anxious and uncomfortable.
You certainly could go into labor at any time.
I know this is easier said then done, but try to relax and take it easy. You should drink some water, and lay in bed on your left side, with some pillows under your feet to raise them up. If you are really tender from the exam, you could relax in a warm bath, or take some Tylenol (which is safe for use during pregnancy).
Also, there is no harm in calling your doc in the morning if your anxiety / uncomfortable doesn't ease up.
But also remember that this close to your due date, anything could happen, and feeling uncomfortable is fairly normal for a 38 week pregnant woman!
