Name question!

I have a friend from England and he had two. He said it's common over there.

Unfortunately when I was pregnant with my first son I had two very tragic deaths and thus my son's name became Zarian Kenneth Devin. We are pregnant again with another little boy and have decided to make it a tradition for our boys to have two middle names so the new baby's name will be Kyran William James (after our two maternal grandfathers). I know that I love all these men that my sons middle names come from and feel that I honor my sons and them by having their names carry on with the next generation. Good luck!

We are giving our baby girl two middle names, which according to the above article was done by British upper class.

As family historian for my Scottish clan, Clan Somerville,  I noticed in genealogical records that female children of the Clan often named their children with TWO middle names, the second middle name honoring the Clan and thus carrying forward the Clan name, even though the last name is now the birth father's. 

I find this especially important in my case as my dad had my sister and I, so no sons to carry on his surname. All of my children will have two middle names in order to continue the Clan lineage, one of which will be my maiden name Somerville.

My baby's name will be Grace Ann Somerville Trout

If our next child is a boy, his name will be Colin Rhys Somerville Trout. :)
