Back from Ultrasound, and it's.....

an uncooperative baby!! The doctor said he thought it "might" be a boy, but he didn't get a good view and wasn't sure. Then he said he was 90% it was a boy. Hubby thinks since he's a doctor, we should go with boy. I think that since he didn't really get a good view, we should wait for the repeat u/s in 4 weeks to really start making plans, etc.

Now, for a little history - my friend went to this doctor 10 years ago, and he said her baby was a girl the whole time, and when it was born it was a boy. Not that I'm holding that against him, but I think if he didn't get a good look, we shouldn't count on it.

What do you guys think? Start planning or wait for 4 weeks?

I would wait four more weeks. There isn't much you have to do in the next four weeks. Then, you will be able to prepare.

My last two ultrasounds it has definitely been a boy. It it comes out a girl she will have some extra parts in her genital region :)

I know it is crazy! I guess I am actually starting to think that my dream of having a child is about to come true. I guess I keep waiting for someone to pop up and tell me it is a joke!

I totally know what you mean! I can't believe I'll be 30 weeks tomorrow! Saying I have 10 weeks left sounds crazy to me. We've just tried so hard for so long that I still expect that I am dreaming or something. But I know it's real and I am starting to get really excited!

I would definitely wait. Unless you are having your shower really soon, there's no need to start registering this early (no matter how much fun it may be).

I would say wait. If the Dr didn't get a good view and he doesn't have a perfect history with "best guesses" I would wait before buying anything big in blue. I have a friend that was told her whole pregnancy it was a girl and surprise! Little Greg was born not so much a girl lol

I would wait also but if you see something cute....lol I would still get it and keep the receipt.

I would say wait. But also just as an FYI...about 85% of the time the sex of a baby is wrong its "girl" but really boy..rarely ever boy when its really girl. I was told this by my doctor and I believe it has ever case of wrong guesses has always been with a boy. In fact my cousin just had twin boys and she was told she was having a girl and boy...lets just say she was pissed when she delivered two boys lol.
