Are these Braxton Hicks?

So, I'm not in labor right now- nothing regular enough. But I have had these strange contractions the last day or so. They seem to be squeezing pretty deep, and they make it hard to breathe. I've already dropped, so my lungs aren't really super crowded. But I've been having a hard time when they hit. Anyone else have this type of BH contractions? I was slightly dialated at my appt. Thursday, but I sat at a 1 with my daughter before I was induced three weeks later, so I'm trying to walk and be active to see if that helps speed things up a bit. Just curious! Thanks for the advice.

I get the same thing. My heart speeds up a bit when they happen too. They don't usually hurt but they sure do feel strange! As of last tuesday I wasn't dialated at all and I am 39w 3d today. I too have been walking lots, sex, red raspberry tea (to help prepare the cervix / uterus), oh and squatting.

Good luck! Your boys are going to be here before you know it!!

oh man... I got those exact BH feeling sooooooooooooooo much for weeks... Finally I was happy when my doc. scheduled me a section finally, I couldn't take it anymore.. Hang in there your almost done... My boys would still be in my damn belly if I didn't have a section, they were just like my daughter and didn't want to come out...lol

yeah mine would come and I'd have to breathe through em and they were kind of uncomfortable. I went in to L&D a week before my induction, just to make sure they weren't real contractions and they sent me home after 2 hrs of monitoring me. I have had 2 other babies, but they were induced, so I don't know what it feels like to go into labor on my own.

I went in on a Monday night with BH contractions and then ended up going to L&D on my own a day before my scheduled induction with REAL contractions five days later on Saturday (and I was a 3 the last time I was checked). You will know because they will be painful and you will feel lots of pressure, well at least I did.  I remembered that pressure from when I had my last baby and didn't have time to get an epidural.  I just didn't want to be sent home again, so I toughed it out at home and then I couldn't take it anymore and knew it might be the real thing this time.  The contractions will have to last 60-90 seconds and be 3-5 mins apart for you to get admitted. I got there to the hospital and was a 9 and the contractions were about 3-4 mins apart and lasting about a min each!!! I went quick with my last baby, went from a 3 to a 10 in an hour and did it again. I was at the hospital for less than 2 hrs and had my baby, yay!

GL to you!
