1 month update and 1 year out
Soooo I've been meaning to post this.
First off and I cant believe I missed it myself...May 5th 2010 made one year since I had my RNY. I started my journey at 260lbs and today 5 weeks after having my baby girl I am 148lbs. My goal was 165lb and I am below...wohoo. Never thought I'd see this day but it feels so good. My mom took me shopping last week as NONE of my clothes fit and it felt so good to try on larges and size 14 jeans just to have them falling out and finding out my new size is a small/medium and size 10 in jeans. I havent been this size since I was in 7th grade so I am SUPER excited. But I know the journey is just beginning, now I have a lifetime goal of not returning to or anywhere near that size I ballooned to.
Now for my little ones update. Anaya had her one month check up on Monday. My little girl who was born a teeny tiny 4lb 10.8oz 17 in baby is now 7lbs 3 oz and 19 in long. I dont know how she gained that much in one month but she did it and I am proud of her. She is filling out her newborn clothes and I predict in the next month or so she will finally be in 0-3 month clothes. Shes sleeping at night pretty good...from 1230pm to about 530am and maybe waking up at 330am to eat and she will do it in her sleep. Her only main problem is she has reflux. After she easts I have to keep her upright for at least 45 minutes or half of what she ate will come out her nose and sometimes 2 hours later it still will : ( I hate it but the dr said not to worry as shes gaining perfectly. So weve switched her to gentle ease formula hoping it will help that and her constipation/infrequent pooping (reason we are not thickening with rice cereal and because I do not believe babies should have this stuff at such a young age unless all eylse fails).
And now pictures! Comparison of size from birth to now (look at those cheeks). And yes I am still camera happy lol.

Keep taking care of yourself every single day. Just like people who keep slim, fit, and healthy without WLS, we must work on our eating and exercise for the rest of our lives.
Old habits die hard friend - I've backslid myself and it feels awful. A 5+lb gain feels like 50lbs once you've gotten used to a lower weight. TMI, but even my panties are tightI am PMSing tho . The Good news is that I am working on it and it drops right off too with a little effort.
Have a great day!!!
Boy, you're just full of happy news today aren't you?!
Congrats on your weight loss and surpassing you're goal in just one year!!! I congratulate you on that first, because the surgery was the first step in making huge changes that'll be with you for the rest of your life...including your little miracle, Miss Anaya.
She's grown so much in five weeks! Almost doubled in size. Isn't it amazing how quickly they grow? I'm glad she's doing well sleeping at night so that you can get your rest.
You go ahead and be picture happy...she's a beautiful baby and you'll cherish every one of those pictures as she gets older...plus we're all happy picture lookers and love to peak in on all the babies out there, so post away!

LOL....I've been telling my son that for 15 years...kids don't listen. They just keep on doing it anyways. You'll love every stage of her growing though...and be amazed at what new things she can do from day to day.
